LIFE IS TO SHORT NOT TO OWN A HEAVY METAL GUITAR!
1984 Orig BC Rich Mocking Bird Savatage Guitar Player Famous Owned
Chris Caffery is an American musician, best known for his work as a member of Savatage and the Trans-Siberian Orchestra. Recently, Chris has been pursuing a solo career, releasing four albums since 2004
This Mockingbird Deluxe was hand-built from the days before B.C. Rich began importing some of their instruments. Itís a neck-through design, with a 24-fret mahogany neck, mahogany wings and a maple top. The active electronics for the two DiMarzio pickups yield tonal options galore: two tone knobs, one volume knob, a six-position rotary Vari-tone knob, two coil taps, a phase mini-switch and an onboard preamp switch.

What a cool axe! This is Chris Caffery's practice and stage guitar from his Savatage days.
Beyond BC Rich's high quality, it's loaded with extras for Chris. A custom installed USA Kahler whammy bar system with Grover turners
withstands dives without losing tune.
six way selector and switches for phasing and splitting the pickups mean it's loaded with tone options.
The cosmetic condition is good; as you would expect, it has seen some play and has the character to prove it.
Also include two of photos of Caffery playing the guitar on stage.
The 3 bottom switches are for splitting and phasing the pickups.
There is a 6 way selector switch (not 5) that is for changing the EQ of the selected pickup you are playing and works in addition to the two tone
controls in all pickup combinations.
The switch above the 3 switches engages a very clean 15db preamp boost circuit that is installed in the pocket along with a 9V battery to power it.
This is one secret killer feature that overdrives the guitar into bliss and really adds in more punch and bass to the notes.
The switch does not "pop" when switched on and off.
