1963 Gibson SG Standard Polaris White

1963 Gibson SG Standard Polaris White

1963 Orig Gibson Olympic Polaris White SG Standard Killer Player!

You WANT To Be On ly One On Earth With This Unreal Color?????

This is a Original White 1963 SG Special.. PROFESSIONALLY Converted into a SG Standard.. The work cost $2,000 to have done for labor only.. Not to include the parts

1963 was Gibson 1st year of the SG Standard, but Only Cherry was offered. This I mite keep. I mean it plays and Sounds Unreal..

SG standard. Original frets, all original parts were used in conversion except: Tuners , pus & pu mounting plastic & plastic tenon spacer. Guitar, finish, bridge, wiring, pots , vibrola (was mint 63 in box unused & I had it age matched to guitar)., pick guard, screws, knobs everything else is original 63. Original 63 case included.

PUs I had custom made are closest thing to real PAFs, same purple wire, gauge, windings etc.. Aged nickel covers.

Guitar is best playing Gibson Ive ever played, strung up with .042, .036,. 026, .016, .013, .011 & plays like strings are wet noodles. I spent 2k alone just on work & original parts. Inlays are factory original type out of Italy.

Had new put on guitar to set it up with 63 ABR1 bridge.

In Late 1963 they had gibson maestro vibrolas ( lyre-style covers) , gibson took out the les paul logo on the truss rod , made the necks a little larger ( better built ) and renamed the guitar the : Gibson SG Standard ( 1963-present )

I want to add Gibson made a 1963 SG in Polaris White, but it was called a SG Custom. It had Gold hardware and White Pickguard.. Sorry this Baby looks better with Nickel Hardware and Black guard.

So it's all Original but pickups and rings, & tuners. One can say the pickups are not 63. In some cases you get a Guitar that would sound good with $29 All Parts pickups. The Guitar has been played all these years. It has Earned kool as heck look to it. The Mahogany Neck And Big Neck JUST HAVE IT. The Pickups are unreal, I I say 100% Id not put 1963 hum buckers in it. It's weird I love these 11-42 strings on it. Just every note, every cord seems all balanced. Just turning the vol or tone a little bit, BAMM another Killer Fun/Nice Vintage, brings you back to when you was still in High School!

This is really a left over 1962 Les Paul as the Les Pauls looked as a SG when they switch over, as the inlay under Gibson is that of a Les Paul.. Just Nice Flamed Big Wide Neck! Vibe City!

The last 3 pictures I have a the Only 1963 Polaris White Gibson SG Custom.. and they have 3 pickups..Price... $20,000

I never could get use to a 3 humbucker guitar.. You keep hitting the middle pickups with your guitar pick!
