This is a 1-58 Strat. 1-58 pickups, Slaboard 12-59 Neck.( no this neck was not on body originaly, but look at pictures. Perfect Tight fit. The are together for life and have been 30-40 years now) It is a FAT Big Neck, not a thin one. Orig finish on body and neck. BACK of body ONLY has some 35 year overspray. Look at pictures, does it matter? The owner sprayed the back only to try and keep some finish on it, but as you see, It Just been Played HEAVY!
neck has 1 double line kluson, rest orig 58.Pup cover, tip and 2 knobs 58, most screws are 58. Saddles are 58, case is 58.pots and pickguard are 1980s WD. They All look the part. I'm not naming every little thing here. IT IS A PLAYER, and the Holy Grail of players!
Neck has Pro PERFECT re fret with vintage size wire, stainless and slightly taller than orig frets. neck radius is 7.25", and 1-5/8" nut. Nut is orig, has shim under it to work with hair taller vintage frets. The whole Fret job is a work of ART. None of them go past the Brazilian rosewood, 90% of fret life left. This PLAYED and Sounds SO GREAT unplugged, you be happy just to play like that. It's weight is 6-3/4lbs. String are like rubber band when you strum a D or G cord. FUN AS HECK to Play, Hold, Look at, Stare At.
You know when I first got this, I could of put a 58 maple neck on it, 58 pots, 58 pickguard. But I learned and to me, You leave Tone alone. If I meshes together, some Pro Player find a formula, played it 50 years, Earned All them dings etc. The guitar is like a person to me. It has some many stories, so much music made with it. I LOVE Every single inch of this Strat. Even changing that 1 double line kluson, IT Should Not be done. Buy it, Play it, Enjoy it. New looking Strat's are All over, but why no one play the snot out of them. Have you ever worn the finish off a Strat, will you ever? But WE ALL Love the Great ones.
