1954 Thru 1964 FENDER PAT. PEND. Strat Saddles Real & FAKE Little Refresher
There are Great Repo/Relic Pre CBS parts on the web one can purchase for their Fender Strat or Telecaster.. There is nothing wrong in selling clones to the real deal.. THERE IS ALOT Wrong in selling a fake part as the real deal.
The Photos show the difference from the fake. Yes it;s night and day, that is because my photos are clear and close. Real saddles are always crisp bends. The Stamp PAT. PEND. is all on the saddle and again crisp. The intonation height adjustment screws always have the round bottoms. These set of fake had home made filing to round the bottom and if you didn't stare at the screws under nice lighting.. you never seen that. Of coarse the seller played dumb, said I was dumb.. we already know the eBay person in another country is....... aleast working.. but by no means EVER seen a Strat.. ... Below is why I'm doing some more like this, if wanted to read why.. Thanks...
With the real deal price at that. Long time sellers on the web are doing it. With the worthless customer support on EvilBay, Reverb, and PayPal.. It's wide open to scam a person. Most sellers will say, Sold As Is,No Returns. The process at Reverb to do a return for Item Not As Described.. It will be 31-34 days before you get your money back, you will get 3-4 different so called special what ever in the return. You gave to prove to Reverb why it;s fake, the seller just disappears after they get your money. Seller plays dumb and says, I was told it what I listed it as. Reverb will also make you load a video proving it's fake.. What happened to a seller PROVING the Part is what he took hundreds of dollars from a buyer, that the item they are selling is the real deal. But see Reverb is cashing in. PayPal is no better, same with the Evil site.. I never seem to go on GBase. but I use to sell on there. Maybe that site is honest.. I doubt it..
UPS, FEDEX are not honest anymore.. UPS can kiss my ass with them saying they left a package, but did not. If under $750 no one has to sign.. PayPal will drive you like you got a second job in the hours of ...... Crap they loupe you threw.. and you will eat it., That lost!
The Balls some people have in getting $15,000 from ....... ME... and sending Fake PAF to me, and they fooled me in photos, fooled other dealers that I asked to take a look, from photos.. We all believed real.. BUT when I got in person, was not right in my gut. Thank God I know Uncle Lou. He seen in person.. In 1 min.. Unreal Great Fakes. Seller disappears , Reverb beyond worthless.. Lets just say you be surprised how fast one can get from point A to B... 8 States away..
You Can Not Leave a Neg anymore on eVilBay or Reverb.. The 3 market places I been talking about control the honest facts from ever being said about the fraud going on.. Google is right there helping the Fake to cash in. Because everyone is cashing in. They don't even have robots anymore..
Ok, I am going to be listing a whole bunch of facts, and ratting out sellers and really my goal in doing this is if I can help anyone from this not to happen to them it will make me feel good in that. That is why I leave and pay for this.. all the items I ever sold up on the web, way over 100,000 HD Photos of the Vintage Fender and Gibson guitars and their related parts, so anyone that want's to look, learn what is the real deal can do so.
Unless you have the real deal part next to maybe the fake one for a side by side comparison, even the pro can be fooled some times. I bought and sold much, and have just about ever Fender part many times over in my shop, personal stash to figure stuff out. I been on the web going on 25 years, I seen the Start.. Many great years of everyone honest, and today world and ever since Fake Covid and what we all went threw.. It's ..... Not Transparent..
