1989 Fender American Deluxe Standard Stratocaster - RARE COLOR

Graffiti Yellow

7-3/4lbs Perfect Light Weight.. With IN YOUR FACE Color* In my book this is as close to mint as you get.. In person it's just so cool, like only a few in this color ever made.. Few being like 1-4? 9.7 out of 10 shape in my book.. Another words. I look at a Strat, I play the Strat. Not collect.. So I have to be very careful on the word mint, as them people who are anal and wig out because there telescope they watch the Moon with found a spec.. It just turns ugly.. But I think I got the Most clear pictures, and Video.. To show the Axe...( by the way I hate mint)

One of the rarest production Strats on the recent vintage market, Graffiti Yellow Strats and Strat Plus's are few and far between - but this "American Deluxe Standard" is possibly the only one you'll ever see. In the 1000's of Strats I've had in all these years, I've never had a single one until now, and I've seen only one or two.

The Deluxe Standard is basically and American Standard Stat with Gold Lace Sensor pickups and TBX tone control used on the Plus models. It doesn't share any of the other "Plus" features such as Sperzel locking tuners, Wilkinson roller nut, and Hipshot Tremsetter. There is little info out there on this model. It is mentioned in the Blue Book of Electric Guitars with production dates of '89-'90 and a mention of less than 400 made (total for all colors). They show a final retail price of $799. There is little info on the web about this model other than Xhefri's Guitars, a site that specializes in the Strat Plus and Ultra. If the color and model aren't rare enough...another rare feature, and we're 90% sure on this, is it appears to be an ash body. A look at the gain pattern in the trem cavity doesn't look like alder and does conform to ash. You might be asking yourself, how can you be sure it's not just an American Standard with swapped out electronics? Ah, good question. Two reasons: the solder joints are factory; it has never been resoldered anywhere. There is one other piece of evidence that's even more definitive. A look inside the trem cavity shows the three holes drilled for a Tremsetter, which would be correct for a PLUS, but none of these holes have ever had a screw in them as evidenced by the unmolested yellow paint that's still visible and would have disappeared the first time someone put a wood screw in there - and in the bigger hole it's clear that no threads are present, i.e. no wood screw has ever been inserted. It's my belief that the body was removed from the assembly line at the point after the "Plus" electronics were installed, but before the Tremetter was installed. This is irrefutable evidence in my opinion that this guitar has never been a Plus; has always been a Deluxe Standard. It presents itself in beautiful condition with no finish chips or dings, only some fine buckle/button scratches, and moderate fret wear. Frets don't need any attention yet as it sets up with very comfortable action without buzzing or fretting out. In short, it looks as clean in person as it does in the pics. How much extra is an insanely rare Deluxe Standard worth? Includes original case, manual, and strap

Oh.. and be the Man.. With this Baby! and it is not my goal to get you a Strat.. I'm here to get you "The One"
