1982, 1962 Fullerton RI USA Fender Strat Pickups
For you folks not afraid to do a little work and time to get a Real Tone Player, here is some of Fender's BEST, not from pre cbs in the thousands of dollars in price!
I got these pickups in a 1982 100% Fullerton 62 RI. ALL 3 pickups are dead. i don't see why, weird to sat the least. maybe it is a cold solder joint, maybe rewind. BUT these pickups from 82-84 are the Tone Puppy City!. I was first to unsolder, had 6th week 1982 pots (they are on my web site now for sale)
ALL 3 pickups have 2 on them (thus 1982). It's the magnets from these days or any days that make the Tone, not in as much as the wire. So repai these, you got a $600-$800 set. For the buck, you can't go wrong. If I was not so busy, I get repaired.
