1969 Vince Converse Hot Shot Blues Player Texas Owned Fender Strat

Houston-born singer/songwriter/guitarist Vince Converse began his musical career while still a sophomore in high school. He and his band, Sunset Heights, played blues-inflected rock in venues that he was still too young to patronize, appeared on international TV, and toured with acts like Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Johnny Winter, Peter Green, and Fats Domino. After playing with the group for seven years, Converse struck out on his own, moved to South Dakota, and released a solo album, 1999's Nineteen Fifteen, named after the birth year of Muddy Waters.

This HAS TONE, It Plays like Butter. I Played it for last year or more

He had some big shot guitar tech build this. The body is a 1 piece Mahogany body, painted in Burgundy Mist Nitro, has the lefty SRV bridge as you can see. The assembly is mixed match. The pickups are early 1980s Fender USA.The neck is All orig 1969, orig frets, finish. Output jack and pickup covers, strap buttons are 1960s real deal. So basically neck, output, covers Vintage, rest Pro built.

Now it's your call if you believe me. IT ROCKS IN EVERY WAY FOR THE MONEY! IT WILL BLOW AWAY ANY NEW GREEN WOOD CUSTOM SHOP, AND IF YOU DON'T THINK VIBE ADDS TO THE FUN OF PLAYING AND OWNING A STRAT? WHY YOU KEEP COMING BACK HERE?

This is set up with low action, neck is a Fat one. Just Unreal like a friend feel when grab on. He had the body built with the wood he wanted, a lefty bridge as he wanted. Now that's a Strat guy I like to hang with. STEP OUT! IT"S FUN! Comes in a Non Orig Hard Shell Case

Hello Eddie, I’m a Houston player… old now, but I used to play around a lot. The young guy in the photo on your listing for the 1969 Hot Shot Blues Player Texas Owned Strat is Vince Converse, he used to play with a band called Sunset Heights here in Houston back in the 90’s. Not sure where is now, was an amazing player even at the age of 17… I saw him at Dan Electro’s Guitar Bar (if I recall correctly) when he celebrated his birthday way back then… I was blown away. Great young talent, and a nice guy too... solid player

I have some pics towards the end showing this Strat and the 1969 neck on another body and Vince or his band mate playing etc. Vince was a young (not rich) true blues man/player. Players built, play, swap, create Tone. Look at all the famous GREAT Strat players. Eric with his 1957 Blackie. That was a Mutt Stratocaster! SRV #1 Strat was a Mutt Strat.... All My BEST Players I own, ALL are Mutt Players.. They are the proven Work Horse of the Music Industry!
