1967 Gretsch Monkees Rock and Roll Model

All I know, the Guitar plays and sounds Great. I made Quick video. I was in a hurry and I made it to let you SEE it per say.It's not meant for me to play songs or drag it out. Ser # is 271352.. I was told,) the bridge is a roller bridge; the Monkees used a simple metal bar bridge, )2 the pickups are 1959 PAF Filtertrons, the Monkees used supertrons, and 3) it looks like the tone switch has been replaced with a tone rheostat. It is definitely a great guitar! All I Know is I love these Pickups..It's what Brian Setzer used in his 59! I guess now were at it, the tuners are these Killer sealed grovers. I guess pickguard is RI... It still is this Price, It's Vintage and IT PLAYS Maybe Better than Any other one. So you want a Playable 67 Gretsch Monkee... THIS IS YOUR GUITAR.... For me I Play my guitars!

Gretsch 1967 Monkees model in opaque Red. This model is unusual double-thumbprint fretboard inlay and “Monkees” logo on pickguard, TRC cover and Monkees headstock nameplate. Most of these were made in 1967; few were made thereafter; nobody in the Monkees played one. This guitar is similar in construction and features to the Streamliner and Rally models, introduced in 1967.

by 1958 they changed to Gretsch Filtertron pickups. these were more powerful and more quiet. These were used on into the 1960′s
