1967 Jimi Hendrix Monterey 1967 Replica USA Fender Stratocaster
This is a mint, un-played* 2010 John Mayer Fender Stratocaster custom-painted by High End Pro exactly like the Stratocaster Jimi Hendrix played and set on fire at the 1967 Monterey Pop Festival.
To have this done it be close to 5k, and wait time is a year..OR MORE!
A John Mayer USA Strat was chosen mode to be painted like Hendrix's Monterey Strat because Mayer's Big Dipper pickups give a 'voodoo' sound that's closest to Hendrix's without flipping the body.
Note that this guitar's paint job is NOT like Fender's Pamelina replica. First, she painted a red rose on the upper horn; this guitar has the correct pink and yellow daisy. This has the red and green swirls below the pickguard, and not just green swirls. This is the real deal for any Hendrix fan or someone looking for a historic or interesting guitar.
Grammy award winner John Mayer teamed with Fender® to create his must-have signature instrument. The John Mayer Stratocaster® guitar features an alder body, satin urethane-finished maple neck with a slightly larger C shape, 9.5”-radius African rosewood fingerboard with Dunlop® 6105 frets, and buffed headstock with vintage-style ’50s decal and string tree placed slightly farther from the nut. Other features include three “Big Dipper” single-coil pickups with special scooped mid-range voicing wound to Mayer’s specs, American vintage synchronized tremolo with five springs and uninstalled back plate (included in case), and Fender/Gotoh® vintage-style tuners
