Point is, parts wore out. The Tele is a Machine, A MACHINE times 50. Look at wear from turning the vol pot up and down. I mean the wood is worn down from playing. It is Unreal Bell Tone, The jack has been added as ALL Tele orig jacks suck. There I said it!
There is NO fret outs, Nice action, Clear Sustain City. The Neck is set up straight with not much relief. It plays Fast and smooth. The neck had a repair done on back. That was done 40 years ago. It is smooth and you do not feel it.
THIS IS A PRO TELE, MADE TO BE PLAYED ON STAGE!
It was hard to know all the facts on this as orig owner has past. I am saying my 2 cents. I say this neck is Orig to the Tele. Fender had maple neck, single white pickguard Tele Customs. Now you can think Fender not have 14 months parts together. YES I had a MINT Collector 58 Strat with 15 month earlier dated neck. I seen others as this. NOW I am not guarantying this, I can only get the last 35-40 years info on this guitar. But this is a player, it does not matter to me.
Look inside the neck pocket and bottom of heel on neck. Same pencil C there from Fender. So I am calling it as my guess or could be. The inside neck pocket matches heel also. Then again, you see All there is, and video and sound at that.
Sting is the only one in my life I ever seen play a 1959 Custom Tele, and he had a 1966 Maple Neck on it. Yes most were Rosewood, and this very well could of been that. But Fender made Maple Customs, as in the book. The wear is JUST DEAD ON, that this neck and body been together for Many a years, if not from the Start*Sounds Great No Matter what the facts are!
